Privacy
Last updated 30 September 2026
Golden Bagel is a tennis coaching platform on Sydney's lower north shore. This page explains, in plain English, what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We aim to follow the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your name, email, mobile, whether you're a player or a coach, and whether you'd like tips and offers.
- App accounts: your details, any players you add (for example your children), your bookings, and your balances and payments with each coach.
- Website visits: anonymous usage statistics, such as pages viewed and the site that referred you. We don't use advertising cookies.
Why we collect it
- To tell you when Golden Bagel launches near you, and to invite founding coaches.
- To run the app: bookings, reminders, cancellations and balances between you and your coach.
- To send tips and offers, only if you tick the box. You can opt out any time.
Who can see it
We don't sell your information. Your coach sees the details they need to coach you. Families only ever see their own players and bookings. We use trusted providers to run the service:
- Supabase: our database, hosted in Sydney.
- Vercel: website hosting, which may serve pages from outside Australia.
- Google: our email.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Children
A parent or guardian creates and controls a junior player's account and gives consent for their information. We collect only what's needed to book and coach safely.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details until we launch in your area or you ask us to remove them. We keep account and payment records while you use Golden Bagel, and as long afterwards as tax law requires.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or stop marketing messages, by emailing hello@goldenbagel.com.au. If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
